The next Waratah Park bushcare morning is on this Sunday, 8th October, starting at 9am at 13 Namba Rd, Duffys Forest. Come and join us, even if only for an hour or two.
With a successful National Tree Day planting in July, a productive bushcare morning in September, recent pile burns by the RFS and continuing maintenance by the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, the Park is in pretty good shape. Nvertheless, it needs regular loving attention.
At the last bushcare morning in September the volunteers continued their work in and around the Ranger HQ, watered and tended the hundreds of tubestock planted in July, and removed whisky grass, biden, crofton and scotch thistle from various sites throughout the park.
Whether you can make it in October or not, please mark your calendar with the bushcare morning that follows, November 5th.
