Come and join your friends, neighbours and local residents as we officially open Mary Newlinds Reserve on Sunday October 15th. Meet at the Reserve signage at the southern end of Guwara Rd from 2pm, and enjoy the shortish stroll along a flat, easy bush track to the magnificent lookouts to the south and west of the Reserve. If you’ve been to the Reserve before you’ll know just how wonderful the views are; if you haven’t then this is a great opportunity to see some of the best sights in our lovely corner of the world.
The opening is an opportunity to celebrate the decades of selfless service to our community of Dr Mary Newlinds. Without her vigilence, Duffys Forest and the surrounding Kuring-gai Chase National Park would not be the treasure it is today. Some of Mary’s family will be there to celebrate with us, as we say just a few words about Mary and her achievements. Bring along whatever you need to make the celebration an enjoyable one. The lookouts are in KCNP, so unfortunately dogs are not allowed.
