Waratah Park Working Bee !!  Sunday,2nd March,2014!!!

                        50 Native seedlings planted on Sunday,2nd March,2014! Above the old dam area!

 

On Sunday,2nd March,2014 at the lastest Waratah Park Working Bee saw many activities achieved by the brave and magnificent 18 men,women  and children on the day.A big thank you to Jenny H,David,Shane,Paula,Lynette,Naomi,Stephen,Terry,Fiona,Mandy,Jennifer and Barbara.

With 50 native seedlings planted by our newly formed planting team,maintenance around the Ranger Headquarters,cleaning up paths,drains and reweeding of many gardens.Several other groups continued the on going weeding process in other parts of the park.

A surprise visit by ABC Radio National reporters on the day with many volunteers interviewed and photographed! 

A special thank you to the Cumberland State Forest Nursery at Castle Hill,and the wonderful volunteers at the Hornsby Community Nursery at Pennant Hills for the all the native seedlings which will live on in Australia's very famous iconic Waratah Park!!

Several working bees will be announced shortly!!Now is a great time to volunteer and to find other volunteers that are interested in achieving many different activities.It is a great place to spend  a morning out in the Australian bushland environment.Morning Tea and Lunch are provided on the day.
