PAST EVENTS.
Landcare Major Day Out at Waratah Park
was held on Sunday,21st September,2014

Some of the fine work been carried out in July and August.Clearing of stumps and concrete slabs many thanks to all the contractors and volunteers for there help.John the tritterman with all the equipment,Mandy,myself, tree loppers from the Blue Mountains,the builders working on the Ranger Headquarters.
Members of Waratah Park Working "Mini" Bees (David Mulligan,James Mulligan,Sam,Silvester Molnar and Naomi Parisi) continuing on the great work of cleaning up removing branches,down trees,hand weeding,rubbish removal,building of many new rafts or burn piles,repairing old pile burns,lots of logging work,dealing with trees brought down in the strong winds over the past months(Axes and Saws needed) and plant maintenance/repairs.
Our new lookout above the bush railway station and the lower areas of the park is just about completed thanks to Terry Semple,David Mulligan,Silvester Molnar and of course myself.Another great job completed.Thanks fellas!!
A big thank you to Ei,David,Silvester,Brett G,Jenny and the canberra visitors who all braved the very wet conditions on Sunday,17th August,2014 at our last scheduled Working Bee.
So the handover is now complete and the rains are slowing down.We are all back on Sunday,21st September,2014 from 9.00am to 1.00pm for "Landcare's Major Day Out" another big season in the park with many jobs to do such planting of native seedlings over 60 to be planted,cleaning up,path widening,some posioning of feral weed species,mowing will be starting up again after all areas are cleared, some primary weed clearing and hand weeding of course.
So this is a great opportunity to get behind Jenny,Mandy and the rest of the team at Waratah Park and help out.
We need your help and support with the park and a great cause on Sunday,21st September,2014 but we NEED new Volunteers to help and also enjoy a day in the park once again!!
So onward we go plenty to do and enjoy in Australia's most famous park.
